From my experiences, I learned that public health is not only about treating health issues but also about prevention and education within the community. These experiences helped me realize my strong interest in mental health and community health. Working with people in my church and observing public health professionals showed me that I want to focus on helping underserved populations, especially in mental health. It also confirmed my goal of working for a health department or eventually creating my own mental health organization to support my community.
